Monitor power socket too loose
Discussion
The 'kettle' lead that plugs into my monitor is loose in the socket, if I jiggle it I can get some electrical buzzing or occasionally the power light comes on but otherwise it's dead, presumably because the right connections aren't being made. To clarify the socket itself doesn't move, the plug wiggles around in the socket.
Would the socket be fixable? Could I replace it and if so what part(s) would I need, do they tend to be standard?

If you haven't got another lead then Amazon have loads of them, in all sorts of lengths:

I fix a few Monitors and Touchscreens.
Mains Sockets are not standard.
Any signs of arcing on the Socket Pins?
If you take it apart, be aware that the large Capacitor on the PSU can still be charged and give you a nasty belt !!!
If by arcing you mean that electrical crackle noise, it has been making that noise when I've tried fitting it before, and looks like maybe some scarring on the end of at least one of the pins? So maybe TV repair man is the place to go? Or can that be cleaned off?Mains Sockets are not standard.

The Poor connection from Plug to Socket Pins causes them to spark/arc and cause the pitting you can see.
The Earth Pin looks too far gone.
Replace the Socket and Mains Power Cable
or
Replace the Internal PSU and Mains Power Cable
or
Scrap it/Ebay with an honest description
Should be something a TV Repair Man could tackle easily enough.
Bin the Mains Cable whatever you decide
