Mk4 polo gti stage 2 or Mazda 3 mps aero??????

Hi I’m looking to buy new car n stuck between 2, what’s my best option a mk4 06plate polo gti stage2 map running at 220 bhp or a Mazda 3 mps aero 09 plate stage1 map, both are £2800 thanks 👌

Depends what you want, but at that price point and as they are modified already I'd go with the one in best condition that had been looked after the best. As they are remapped I'd want to see evidence of regular (at least 10k miles / annual) oil changes and good quality tyres, as they are often a good indication of how well the car has been looked after.

Personally I'd try and find out more, for instance were they members of the owners clubs for those cars and is there any history you can dig out from there?

If both cars are well looked after and sound, then I would suggest test driving them both and seeing what you do prefer. At a total guess, I imagine the Mazda might be the better car as it is a class above the Polo.

I'd personally be looking at the Mazda over anything German, however knowledge is power. Look at the history, as that model from memory had turbo issues. I'd want to see it had been replaced, preferably with a different type.

It would be the Mazda for me it'll be less stressed they made more power standard than the Polo even with a stage 2, as others have said I'd judge on condition & receipts.
