Anyone manage to get their dogs comfortably in the boot of their x6. Know the x5 is more practical but I am swaying towards the x6 and just want it to work out.... I have 2 staffies so not the biggest of dogs, just dont want them to be totally cramped and unable to move about? 🤪

I think there are two considerations.

1) Is it comfortable for the dog, enough space to get comfortable, space to get in and out, fresh air, not too hot in summer etc.

2) Is it a safe place for the dog to be in, both in terms of not being a driver distraction and in the event of a crash event.

Don't know the 6serise well enough to comment, but I've got a E46 coupe which Ive had since before we had a dog, and can take our two reasonable size dogs in it, seats folded down, enough luggage for a weekend away for 2+2.
I have a adjustable fireguard repurposed as an load-guard, secured in place, with the seat belts around the front of it. They go in through the boot into the rear of the car, few bags behind them, and a few smaller bags in the rear footwells.

I don't own a dog so forgive the stupid question, but do dogs suffer from motion sickness?

X6 rear window is quite steeply raked. If a dog looks out, they would be looking upwards, rather than outwards / rearwards in a flat backed x5

Spacewise its fine, super practical boot especially with the seats down. I have the e71 and its a great load lugger

Typically not, although it isn't completely unheard of.

That was my thought, room inside with the shelf removed no issues with only being 2 staffy size dogs, but looking out the window, maybe not so easy for them? If they behaved I would maybe just stick them on the back seat and buy a proper fitted cover. Not that the boot would be a punishment if they didnt behave.... just think I would be able to relax more if the only thing they could chew was in the boot. I know its X5 for practicality but just like the X6 more..... 🥺

our car has tinted windows at the back, that's the best you can do but with a window so steeply raked, it could be like a greenhouse in there
