I've got a 2 week trip to Turkey coming up, last time I ordered a Vodafone prepaid sim and it worked fine.
Now it looks like Vodafone no longer include Turkey in the PAYG roaming.
Any other ways round that apart from relying on wifi?

What network are you on now? And is it PAYG or contract?

A lot of providers are providing roaming to lots of countries for free. Or they can offer a bolt on for a fee to use your uk allowance abroad.

If you only need data buy a mi-fi, pop one local SIM in it, job done.

Just get a Turkish sim card? however if you do that they take the IMEI number of the phone, if you dont register it (I think its for Turkish tax purposes) within 12 months then block the IMEI number from working in Turkey again.. or something a long them lines.

I got one in Istanbul airport with data and it was fine for a week.

Feel your pain - just back from there and paid the same with EE on my phone(s) but a week only - and limited to 1GB a day at that. Amazing how quick that gets gobbled up.

I did look to a MiFi device and local SIM for a Data hub but simply never got round to it.
