soft top creases

I would be surprised if this issue was just Ferrari 360 and 430 but both these cars show unsightly creases in the soft top material in the area behind the side windows. I am looking for advice on how toget rid of the creases - I tried a light "rub" with a steam iron which seemed to improve them a bit, but at the same time added and unwanted shine to the fabric.

Any ideas? Heat gun? Wallpaper stripper steam doo dah?

Put a cloth under the steam iron to avoid the shine.

Alternatively a Vax steam fresh combi type cleaner would probably do it (Argos/Amazon etc), as it has a fabric pad that the steam goes through.

I have creases on my 997 roof, but I've never tried to get rid of them as surely they'll come back in the same place as soon as you put the roof down again?
