Chaps, I have a LG smart TV that started losing Wifi connectivity. All other devices that connect to my router is fine, and on research it is a common bug with this particular model of LG TV. There are two fixes.

1) Reset the TV/ set country to a foreign country then set it back (This didnt work)
2) Open up the telly and take out the WIFI module, clean contacts/ make sure cable is not snared, reset. (Havent done this)

I have lost the reciept (TV is two years old)

Before I buy a new TV (and swear to never buy an LG one again biggrin ) is there a simple 'box' you can buy that provides all this functionality - TV works fine except for this problem frown

Thanks all.

Connect it via Ethernet? If that's not convenient an Ethernet WiFi bridge? I have a few LG Smart TVs that are Ethernet connected. All stream fine

Might be a good shout actually, I didnt want to do that due to extra cables etc. But a firestick or external box will be more cables... OK I will try thanks

Check If there is a firmware update available. Auto update never seemed to work with my LG television.

It does rather look like the wifi dropping is a feature on some models. Mine is ok for wifi, but has the random switch on feature....

Ours was doing it so I whipped the cover off the back and made sure all the ribbon style cables were flat instead of bent.

No issues since and it's a common thing apparently.
