There's going to be held a road rally from Los Angeles to Miami in February 2003: the Players Run. The Players Run is held between 15th February 2003 - 22nd February 2003. We even have celebs (for those who care).

You find further information about the Players Run on www.playersrun.net

For the European fellas: Shipping the cars from Europe to Los Angeles and back from Miami to Europe is going to be organized.

After putting the stickers of the Players Run and our sponsors on your car you are allowed to put stickers of your company on the car, too!

One of the specials: Some of the streets are closed only for the Players Run. Have you ever thought about driving with your supercar as fast as you want on an US freeway? That'll be a blast!

We are also producing a coverage about the Players Run which will be sold to a TV station. Every car will be shown with your stickers in that special. Great advertisment for your company! Besides we're going to produce a Players Run DVD. Isn't that a great benefit participating in the Players Run?

Players will actually finish the mission in another country (but same day).

Entry fee is US $ 7500.- (for one car with 2 persons, so you can share the costs)

Less than 50 spots left ... So just fill out the online application form:

Is this the same as the Gumball Rally? I think that goes from LA to Miami next year. How much does it cost to ship a car there and back?

Next Gumball is from San Francisco to Miami.

Regarding the Players Run: We speak to a worlwide logistic company about the conditions. We don't have the exact costs yet, but they will be much cheaper than the regular costs or renting a car in the U.S.

I was on the gumball from London to St Petersberg and back.

Its not an easy thing to do without having your licence taken from you. Thankfully the Russian police only want bribes but I believe the American cops have a very different attitude!

You have been warned!!! There is NO WAY i would ever consider this in the US, its just asking for trouble!

I was on this year's Gumball from NY to LA.

On the Gumball it really happened that cops were very friendly, a cop was even enjoying a ride with one of the Team Texas Porsches for a certain distance.

In New Mexiko we were driving in a group of 2 cars with 150 mph on the highway. There was suddenly a cop and caught the Aston Martin. You know what the cop said? He said that's cool and he has never seen such a car on the road before. The driver didn't get a ticket ... he was only asked to drive a bit slower.

Regarding the Players Run: Some of the streets are closed only for the Players Run. There you can drive as fast as you want without looking for the cops.

I admit it sounds good but I can't risk my licence on hoping that the cops on the scence are happy to see us.

I had many experiences on the previous Gumball which told me otherwise.

As a European you have a big advantage: You don't loose your license and it has no consequences. The worst is that you get a ticket which you have to pay cash.

Airman is right, you cannot lose your license in the US if you are European...they can take it, but that doesn't mean anything. The worst what can happen to you is a 1 year ban of driving. And this is only a statewide ban, not nationwide...In the last US Cannonball 2002 run you could witness outrunning of cops, taking cops for a tour with 200mph on highways, passing cops who escorted cars, going 200mph and getting 10 tix / day...and they all still have their license...try this in Europe ;O).Those are just examples from a Cannonball run and Playesrun is not in any way promoting street racing !

Playersrun has already 10% of the total tour closed by police for full speed driving and you will have the opportunity to drive on 3 major tracks. Ask Airman ;o)

Will you be organising something similar the following year? It's just I don't think I'll be abke to get the time off work (or have the entrance fee) for next years race.

The Players Run will be blast!

Regarding the entry fee: After putting the stickers of the Players Run and our sponsors on your car you are allowed to put stickers of your company/sponsor on the car, too!

It should be easy to find a sponsor. I remember that a British tuner sponsored some English guys in another Cannonball Run.

Tell the sponsor that the pictures of such an event are shown in the internet and seen by many people in the whole world - also in your country. Besides the media interest in covering the Players Run is huge.

Make photos and videos of your car and give copies of them after the Players Run to your sponsor. He can use that for his marketing and is able to show his clients that his products mastered the Players Run successfully.

There are many possibilites and advantages for companies sponsoring participants. You only need to contact and convince them.

One participant ordered a Pagani Zonda. If that car is delivered in January, he will drive this supercar in the Players Run! Among the supercars (Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches already entered the rally) are also a Ferrari F40 and a Viper GTS with more than 500 hp.

For the European fellas: Shipping the cars from Germany to Los Angeles and back from Miami to Germany is going to be organized. We're going to get a special deal for the Players. The costs are about $ 3195.- for one car.

That's cheaper than the regular shipping fee and much cheaper than renting a suitable car in the U.S.!

The European participants are going to get detailed information (exact costs, dates, insurance etc.) from a worldwide logistic company regarding the shipping from Europe to America and back to Europe.
