Maybe they will one day breed harding and grayling to create the super idiot with limitless ability to be promoted.

It seems insane that they can just give out jobs to their incompetent gaggle of friends. A professor of, I don't know, infectious diseases maybe, might be slightly more appropriate.....

I do often wonder if there is ANYBODY in Westminster with any sanity left????
If our great leadership keeps dithering, making up stupid rules that can't be policed anyway, & trashing our economy further, together with this fked up old boys/mafia carry-on, they won't have a country to run....

I fear this is the problem, affecting all parties; too many people who have become MPs because they are too useless to do anything else.

I've met her and a number like her. All fiercely intelligent, academically brilliant and with incredible attention to detail. Few of them have ever started with a blank sheet of paper in their lives and built a real business. Few of them can lead or inspire. They move from elite private school to Oxbridge to McKinsey/Bain etc to executive jobs, and never actually take any risks.

She's yet another example of someone who is unable to operate effectively beyond the bounds of their academic brilliance and undoubted intelligence. Too straight-jacketed to be of much use when things don't work out in reality as they did on paper.

Indeed. Hubby’s on the advisory board of Influential think tank 1828 which is calling for the NHS to be replaced by an insurance system; a move I suspect is widely supported by our inept government and the Tory party in general.

In her previous job as CX of Talk Talk she oversaw a massive breach of data which cost the company millions in fines and compensation. Her leadership was described as "naive". Just the sort of person you want running the track and trace programme...

Not a fan of the end of civilization but at least you will get to watch her latest bewildered interview trying to explain how it all went wrong and the steps being taken.

Nah, I think he'll be thrown under the bus along with Harding, Williamson, Jenrick et al, although it could take a while as their (even more incompetent) replacements will not be wanting to hold any of the poison chalices..... Some of them even make Starmer look intelligent!

I've been saying this for the last couple of months. Hancock will be thrown under the bus, along with absolutely anyone else that Johnson/Cummings feel need blamed in order to help them retain power.

As someone who has mostly voted Conservative (apart from the last election), I can't even bring myself look at this absolute shower that currently lead our country. It is too upsetting.

But perhaps more depressing is the lack of competition from other parties and other MP's.

What a terrible state we are in.

She took well over £4 million from TalkTalk while losing them 230,000 customers and wiping off £1.5 billion from their share value. Incompetent doesn't even begin to describe that woman

What this is all about is privatisation of the NHS

Her husband is also the Tories anti-corruption champion, the irony!
