I thought the wheel centre caps looked like the Shelby Cobra wheels logo. No idea what the car is though.

Tricky one. Does look like a Marcos Badge, but could just be a wheel manufacturer badge of a similar shape.

I can't think of any Marcos model that fits that. All the doors have more shape to them and the rear arches have more of a "swoop" to them to my mind.

Looks more like a TVR to me, although again the rear arch profile doesn't seem to match something like a 3000M, but it's a very awkward angle to be certain and the door and sill profile is more of a match I think.

Definitely not a 240Z, there's no swage line at the bottom of the door on this car.

I think the wheel centres may simply be the Cobra slot mags.
Angle shortens the front wing but maybe a Honda S800, which has a wing badge.

Yes, I think you're right. Alpine or Tiger.

I don't think its a Tiger, them and the later Alpines had another badge further down the wing with the engine size

Agreed, with aftermarket Wolfrace, or similar, wheels.

That's got to be an old shot, who wears jumpers like that with stripe at wrist end? Common wear in the 70s.

Where? (what are those tall ? in distance).

As for the alloys, I could be wrong but I think they're Cobra mag slots (Cobra logo on centre caps).

Car? Not sure.

edit
Centre cap Cobra - old

Given the scale of the arm in relation to the car I'd have said S800 on slotmags. Shape of rear wheel arch including lip and seam where sill meets front wing tallies up too.

ETA: Not an MX5 which has a swage line on the top of the sill and halfway up the door.

Never even really looked at that. I saw some kind of detail there, but yes it certainly looks like an Alpine badge.

I'm currently welding new sills onto both sides of a MK1 MX-5 and can most certainly confirm that this car looks absolutely nothing like an MX-5!

Surely its a metal constructed vehicle, the folded 'metal' at the sill line is not something a fibreglass manufacturer would do out of choice, they are more likely to make a rounded tub.

The front line on the sill is wrong for an S800. It's set back from the front door edge, whereas on this car it's clearly straight up in line from the front door edge.

Also, it would have a Honda Badge on the front wing. Well, I guess that could have been removed, but the sill line is more conclusive.
