I've been with Vodafone for over 10 years, it seems ok. Signal drops in a few areas when i am out and bout but i am wondering if I am missing anything. EE has a good rep, should i look at that or are they all pretty much the same?

I may also final go for a new phone from my Samsung S8+ to the Note Ultra.

I guess there are probably 4 or 5 main networks that the smaller cheaper providers piggy back onto. The only difference there is the customer service I suppose.

I've been with most networks over the years, I'm now with Plusnet and find it about the best, good signal in most places, decent speeds etc, the opposite of 3 smile

VF used to be the preferred business provider, probably based on cost. I use EE as it has the best coverage, and is particularly stronger where I live. That being said O2, Vodafone not far behind.

The wife and kids all use BT mobile, same network.

EE
Major players: ASDA Mobile, BT Mobile*, Plusnet Mobile*, Virgin Mobile*, Utility Warehouse
Smaller firms: 1pMobile, The Phone Coop

O2
Major players: Giffgaff*, Tesco Mobile*, Sky Mobile*.
Smaller firm: LycaMobile

Three
Major players: iD Mobile*, Smarty*.
Smaller firm: FreedomPop

Vodafone
Major players: Voxi*.
Smaller firms: Lebara Mobile*, Talkmobile*

I have now been with GiffGaff for 7 years - no direct customer service line but I have never needed it.

Prior to using GiffGaff I had been with Orange for years, and tried Vodafone and O2 - every time I have had a contact I have had to call the network because they have tried to rip me off (e.g. £35 for roaming when it was disabled??? - googling revealed it was a bug in there network but took a lot of hassle to dispute) ...

I will never sign up to a 12 month contract again.
