Evening all

Following my earlier post, I am now living with an Italian mistress!

After 3 great years with a C6 RS6, time came to trade it in for something more exotic

So here it is - a 2009 Maserati Quattroporte 4.7 S

Colour is metallic grey with grey leather seats.
Power is 430 BHP from a Ferrari V8 which is shared with the Ferrari 430. It is matched to a 7 speed ZR gearbox with F1 style flappy paddles.

Its not the fastest thing in the world - 0-60 in 5 seconds and top speed of just over 170 mph. But the SOUND is amazing!

Its is extremely comfortable with lots of toys including BOSE infortainment which is showing its 10 years but not bad!

Condition is fantastic - only done 37,000 miles and 2 owners from new - 1st owner was a rich Russian and 2nd was a wedding car business!

Not really anything for me to do other than to enjoy it! I may look at putting a black GTS grill on the front to replace the chrome and possibly lower it as I am not that keen on the way it sits!

Will keep you updated on the inevitable bills!!!!

Love this rear view - the back is beautiful!

Even my non petrol head (yet!) 8 year old approves!!

Number plate = KOX = definitely needs changing! Just bought MY 09 MAS from DVLA for a song!

Cheers

Simon

You’re a brave man. Lovely car. Horrendous bork potential.

And an RS6 and now a maser?! You’re a brave, brave (& possibly foolish) man.

I think I speak for all of PH when I say we approve!

Congratulations. I love mine, and it has been exceptionally reliable the last year or so (touch wood).

Very nice. Interesting for someone to go back to NA after having turbos. What does it rev to?

Nice, I added a Granturismo to my current C6 RS6 and D2 S8 last year, all great yet different cars in their own way

For me, that is one of the most effortlessly cool cars of the modern day.

I would love a black one with red leather.

Looks great and sounds like it'll be in excellent condition.

You're right about the noise, absolutely love the way my Gransport sounds, particularly the genuine (not manufactured) pops and bangs on over-run.

Oh, I was chatting to a Maser mechanic a year or so ago and my memory is hazy as a result. But, I think he was saying that if you put the handbrake on whilst the car is still rolling, it has the potential to destroy the rear hub carriers / suspension.

I know yours has an electronic handbrake but it has been done before, apparently.

Lovely! I bought a facelift 4.2 a couple of months ago. Interested to see how you get on with yours too.

I was lucky enough to get to drive the whole Maserati range at Millbrook at an event I blagged an invite to. The flappy paddles were just too big, just couldn't get on with them. But that's just me, hope you enjoy it.
