I have the below motherboard. I am having countless issues where windows wont display properly on the pc, it isnt the Sony tv as this works fine on other computers. I think to fix the issue a basic Graphics Card will sort it. Can anyone recommend, with link if possible, a card I can use just for basic Windows use, surfing the web etc.

Are you looking to run 4k at 60Hz or 1080p? For 4k look for a card with HDMI 2.0.

Also, what case are you using?

the case is a Zoostorm MicroAtx case. The tv is a full HD Sony 32" - approx 4 years old. Non 4k. Thanks.

The case is your limiting factor. You have a full-size PCIE slot on the motherboard so any card will go in there, but you may well be limited by what will physically fit into the case. Measure from the PCI cutout on one side of the case to the other side of the case to find out the max length of card you can use.

But more to the point, what issues are you having and why do you think a new GPU will solve them? Your onboard graphics should be fine for general desktop use.

I have an old EVGA 550Ti sitting around that will drive a couple of HD monitors and is quite small. OP, yours if you want it

If you just want it to power the monitor for desktop use and internet surfing look at Nvidia GT 710 cards, assuming you have been using Intel integrated graphics up until now and it's no longer working?

New £40 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-GeForce-Passive-Silen...

Ebay for less if you don't mind 2nd hand - https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_n...

Bonus is they are passively cooled (no fan) so silent in use.

Although knowing what's wrong with you current system first would help. Is the motherboard HDMI or DVI slot damaged that you use to connect to the TV?

Thanks for replies. For some reason the screen is oversized in windows. Ive tried alsorts in the intel graphics centre but it won't align up. Its worked fine for the past 3 years. I tried a fresh install of windows today and that hasnt solved it. If i use another tv its fine. If i use the laptop on the sony tv its also fine. Im at a loss to know what the issue is.
