Just been to town to look for a Birthday pressie for the beloved and had a run in with an ignorant To$$er driving a silver Mondeo. Situation was thus :- Two lanes. Very … long line of traffic in outside lane, inside lane is a bus lane that filters into outside lane. Majority of people waiting patiently in queue. This chuff drives along line of traffic in bus lane and ends up at the side me where his lane filters into ours. I looked across at him to gauge his intentions and if he had acknowledged me then I might have just let him go but the pr#ck just starred straight ahead obviously determined to just force into my lane regardless. Stuffit I thought and for once didn’t give way. Pr#ck almost…… ran into the side of me a about 1mph. Boy was I mad ! It was with great restraint that I didn’t get out of the car and pull his bloody arms off !

Know how you feel nick, I carry a gun in the car for such instances, not that I recomend such behaviour! (otherwise I loose the advantage)

I had exactly the same thing happen to me last weekend. I didn't give way either, but unfortunately there's always some numpty who will - in this case the bloke behind me actually flashed and waved to let the queue-jumper in.

I can understand people's frustration at hold-ups caused by badly-designed traffic systems (I'd sat in the queue for about 5-10 mins before this happened, and - typically - not a single bus had used the bus lane ), but a "sod you - me first" attitude doesn't exactly help.

Don't you think pulling a gun on someone for cutting you up is just a insy, tinsy little bit over the top?!

If someone pulled a gun on me I'd want them locked up.

Why would someone put a gun at you?
You don't drive like the Nick was talking about, do you?

I'm sorry, but I am one of the afore mentioned numpties when it come to letting people into ques.

At the end of the day it's better to let the Knob-end in and have the trasaction under your control, than challenge an unpredictable Numptie to a dual.

It usually takes very little nouse to read the road ahead a bit and soon get back infront of them without them even noticing.

Makes them look like the dimwit they are and leaves you with a smug/warm glow...
...and you pride and joy remains unmodifed.

"Danger Mouse" more like "Ponsy Penfold" your the reason people like the aforementioned get away with acts like that instead of being shot and dying a most gruesome death like they should!

Now now personal slurs will get you nowhere.

I just think if your dealing with the ESN, you should treat them accordingly.

Twink gets her legs stretched and her suspenders twanged on regular basis where there's room for it.

Just think that traffic jams are stressful enough already without idiots getting the fights they are looking for.

I've been doing the IAM course over the last few months, and although it still hasn't cured my leaden right foot, it has taught me some restraint with respect to when to take it easy and even (god forbid) show a little courtesy, and when it is safe to open her up and push the envelope (which IS encouraged!).

Do not let them in, they can see a line of traffic the same as anybody else, you see them time and again, blinkers firmly on head they travel a few hundred yards alongside everybody else then pretend to suddenly realise they're in the wrong and try and force way in (usually woman) shrug shoulders give best meg ryan impression burst into pm tears etc etc

No way!! Most times, with very few exceptions, it's 30/40-something reps who do this. Male, suited, and clearly oh so important in their company Euroboxes. I've never yet seen a woman try to force her way into a lane like these idiots - a woman will always crawl along and hope someone lets her in eventually. In these situations, no woman has ever attempted to remove any part of my car with her BMW.

And no, I'm not having a go at male BMW drivers in general, just the ones (who clearly aren't PHers) who think it's their right to be in the few square feet of space I currently happen to be occupying.

Me, I make 'em wait.

Glad you suddenly think I'm funny when, for once, I'm really not joking!

What's the point in winding these divots up when the one most likely to lose out is your.

Look at it this way, your in £60 grand+, he's in 2 or 3 if that, and your goading the moron to take an expensive chunk out of your motor?. You honestly think he'll stop. He'll be thinking FTP, while your thinking insurance details...

... believe me he's gone, with a funny story to tell his retard mates down the pub before he drives home.

p.s: I for one find that hilarious!

I tend to give way to save body work. Tend to stay less annoyed as well.
When we had a landrover at work with a capstain winch on the front complete with monster bull bars (protection for the winch) there were no takers

Yup I have to agree with the Mouse on this one... 99.9 % of the time I give way because one day some tw#t will run into you and I spend far too much time polishing the beast ( the car that is ! )than to have some half brained $hit head prang it. Just that today I was not in the best of moods !! Think next time I'm down at Wedge I'll get Richard Thorpe to fit a couple of rectractable 30mm Cannons. That should show the #uckers !!
