About to get the wheels on my F30 refurbished - can the TPMS sensors be simply refitted afterwards or are there "consumable" items (e.g. washers) that have to be replaced?

I had them refitted but it took the refurbishers a couple of goes on one of the wheels. Luckily the owner of the company is an M2 owner, wife has an M135i, so he had come across the problem before and knew how to resolve it.

The sensor can be separated from the valve so no problem if done correctly.

Sometimes the valves seize in the wheel so you may find that they need replacing at an extra charge.

The TMPS sensor can be easily removed from the wheel and can be refitted after it was refurbished.
the valve is metallic and is bolted on to the wheel. Once the tires are of its a 30 second exercise.
