Fly bite - should I pop it...?

As usual, something has been chomping on me but this time it’s resulted in a chunky blister just above my ankle.
Should I pop it?

Ideally don't pop it - that's nature providing you with a breathable membrane to hold the healing fluid

If you are likely to catch it, and pop it anyway, a sterile needlehole, and a nice breathable plaster on top, taken off at night, and replaced in the morning should work just as well.

That looks like a bit of hogweed burn to me. That happened to the wife, thought she'd been bitten in the garden.

I also had one on my forearm last week, definitely a bite but I don't know what sort and never usually get blisters like that. Anyway, after about a week it went down by itself and scabbed over. Don't pop it if you can avoid doing so.
