Hi All

Currently accumulating parts for a trackbike conversion.
Id like to get the track fairings wrapped and looking for a reputable company to use.

I have chosen a design i like and current quotes for painting are circa. £1500 eek

I thought a wrap in the design i want ‘might’ be cheaper, any recommendations

No need for ‘its a track bike, it'll be crashed’ posts as I'm just looking for quotes to see if its manageable

Cheers

Is it a race rep theme or custom print ? Quite often wrapping doesn't come in any cheaper .....

Where are you based.

Near me there’s a chap who does high end cars and racebikes.

https://kjwraps.co.uk/

Not done one myself. I’m a bit worried that the intricate inbound curves of bike bodywork / vents etc and the exhaust & engine heat re-activating the adhesive.

It'll be crashed, doesn't mean it can't look good! I spent ages repainting the fairings on my track bike, for the second time in my ownership even though I've ridden it 3 times in 5 years... And that's on a 23 year old SRAD!

I'd only use these.

Looking at around 430 for a full custom wrap, the work is second to none.

Good video showing the work etc

Just so I understand a wrap can serve as protection too on a bike? Basically I can wrap a perfect tank etc and peal it of in a few years (if I want to) and still have the perfect original tank underneath.

In theory it'll help against stone chips / scratches

My concern is razor blade cuts in the paint - the best avoid it but I've seen many that don't

I cant see that its much different to clear PPF. The wrap is more for aesthetics though, the PPF is designed to take the tone chips better with less damage believe.

I have PPF on my car (on when i purchased it) the wrap i want is just to finish off the Bikes look as it the first time I've actually bought a bike brand new, run it in and converted it for track use, giving me free reign to do what i want with it as i have other bikes for road use. Its kind of a project to keep the winter boredom at bay so have a few months to work on it.
I may create a thread here once i start and get peoples advice and opinions on the parts fitted or etc smile

Prepping a new bike - depending on what it is and if you haven’t yet got the bodywork I’d be tempted to order up a set of Chinese fairings already painted up and put all the standard stuff in the loft - two birds one stone. £300 - £350 incl shipping plus £30 customs charges.

Same as a car wrap - wrapping the bodywork in plastic to change the colour / add graphics etc
