The documentary Superswede is being shown at 9.00pm on SkyDocumentariesHD.

Not sure if it’s a new one or an older film however should make interesting viewing.

And the McLaren documentary is being shown straight after.

Already recorded from about a week ago. Not that great tbh. No documentary replaces real footage and reality. Still worth a watch though.

His death came as a shock as, by all reports, he was suffering from 'leg injuries' and minor burns. I was up early the next morning to visit my parents and missed the news. I was phoned there by a friend and I thought he was talking about the other driver, Brambilla, involved in the crash as the reports suggested he was critical. No one seemed to suggest Peterson was likely to die.

I liked Peterson's driving style. I was a big Lotus/Andretti fan, but to me his WDC that year was nothing to celebrate. Put me off the sport for a while.

Very few sights compare to Ronnie “ negotiating “ the old Woodcote. He could drive the wheels of anything , somehow just teetering on the edge of the biggest shunt you could imagine . A lost hero .
