There is probably a thread on him somewhere but I thought I’d put this up as a ex stammerer myself.
It’s an interesting read and quite painful for someone like myself as I went through a lot of those feelings of dread as well.

Its not just the stutering. The incoherent rambling too. And he is older then Trump..
Cant imagine him taking on China in the next year or two- which needs to happen. Cant even see him doing well going up against Trudeau, for that matter
..is this really the best there is to fight against Trump? In a land of 600m people...

As someone else said on here recently; you're not voting for Biden, as such - you're voting for Team Biden.Cant imagine him taking on China in the next year or two- which needs to happen. Cant even see him doing well going up against Trudeau, for that matter

So the way I see it - it's Team Biden vs Trump, and that's a no-brainer.

You clearly have never heard Biden speak. He speaks clearly and concisely... That is compared to most orators, let alone compared to the rambling word salads of Trump.
Trump has done a terrible job with China... Of course Biden will do better, he can't bring back the business Trump has lost, but realistically a lame cat could do a better job than Trump on foreign relations.
Trump's trade war with China was lost before it started... And Trump is the only person who hasn't realised it.
Also, the population of the US is 328 million (2019)... Not 600.

Forgive me if I've not been paying attention, but a quick look just now suggests that Biden is ahead in most of the "battleground" swing states. Barring a calamity for the Democrats in the next two months, Biden's a shoe-in, isn't he? Trump's toast, no?
Biden is a good bit ahead overall, but it could easily be a repeat that the democrats win the popular vote but not the required states, dangerous to be complacent.I do find it odd how you need to be old to be considered a serious candidate in the states.

Biden is a safe choice. He’ll provide stability and he knows Washington and politics backwards so he knows the score in dealing with the opposition and with other countries.
I think he’ll do well.

You might want to ask for a recount, even if you’re including Cant imagine him taking on China in the next year or two- which needs to happen. Cant even see him doing well going up against Trudeau, for that matter

Canada and Mexico you’re still out 67,000,000.

Not even the best there is among the potential Democratic party candidates. Tulsi Gabbard would IMO have been a much more energetic, effective and competant candidate. But I dont think her outspoken foreign policy position ( although sensible and appealing to many ) is remotely ok with many of the big donors from military hardware manufacturing to banking. Let alone what the alphabet agencies think of being lectured to, by an ex front line member of the US Army. Shame, because I think she could have been a unifying force for the USA.Cant imagine him taking on China in the next year or two- which needs to happen. So it is a choice between the narcisist Trump, and the elderly and frail sounding Biden ( nothing to do with his stammer though ) which in a way is prophetic because American power is well past its peak. They have descended from a reasonably unified nation, into one where identity politics / divide and rule distraction techniques and chrony capitalism have become the means to gain and retain power. Sad to watch.

Didn't watch any of his nomination acceptance speech? It was a bit dull, touchy feely, empathetic, heavy emphasis on him not being a raging sociopath, narcissist or fraud. A lot of 'hope'. I believe he may have mentioned his friend Barack once or twice.
No rambling though.Sophisticated Sarah said:
The thing is, this vote shouldn’t even be close. Shows how poorly the Democrats are performing if there’s doubt over the result against someone like Trump.
Sums it up nicely.Trump is a disgrace in every sense imaginable.
But out of 350M people and given four years to prepare the best hope is seen as Joe Biden that's a real WTF one for me

As unfit for office as Trump is I can sadly imagine him winning and a repeat of the whole "But why didn't they vote for Hilary" but with Biden.
Sad if it happens really as you can't say they didn't have time to prepare.

Does it? I think it says more about racism and division in America than anything else. Large swathes of America are astoundingly backward considering this is 2020. Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
