Looking to Buy 2017 S5 B9

Hi all,

Took a b9 17 S5 out for a test drive today. Loved it, a great balance between performance, looks, practicality etc.

Is there anything in particular to look out for on these cars when buying used?

It would be purchased from Audi, so comes with 2 years warranty.

They are pretty solid cars. I know of one problem they suffer from is the thermostat going, which can be very expensive outside warranty. This seems to happen to S5/S4 and RS4/RS5 owners. Mine went twice in 1 year!

I recall there was an S5 lease thread on here some time ago on the car buying forum - may have more info..

Had mine from new, now 3years +
Had the above thermostat failure, repaired under warranty.
No other issues, but have extended warranty cover as I intend to keep the car for at least another 3 years and have bought myself out of PCP. That’s how much I like it.
Also now it’s not financed can use my local trusted indie specialist to maintain it.
