No, same wheels as the GT4 - 5 stud.

Same old mule too, nothing new.

Any info on what this is likely to have?
PDK is highly likely and a power hike?
Lighter weight?

Don’t think there will be a lot of surprises
With the RS, if it ever actually makes an appearance, I for one would be surprised if it didn’t have the following:

Plus 10% more power approx
CS and buckets standard
Some lightweight glass
Some lighter panels
Centre lock wheels
Bigger rear spoiler
PDK only
Some brighter colours (Lava orange anyone or what about Rubystone red even making a reappearance from the back catalogue!)

The one bit I really hope I am wrong about is the gearbox - a Brand new RS with a manual box option would be very refreshing.

Personally can’t see Porsche ever releasing a 3 pedal RS car again. RS is all about the ultimate lap time, and lap times are best with an auto. frown

Agreed, plus there's no suitable 'box available to use so it would have to be a new unit. With ICE cars on the way out and batteries taking over, will Porsche recoup the development costs using it on one model? Unlikely, it only came back on the 911R as the same 'box was then used on the 991.2 GT3 and Touring and will likely be used on the 992 GT3s as well.

I would expect the GT4RS to be PDK only, which is what all the mules have been up to now.

Dave, If the 991.2 GT3 has a 6 speed box and the GT4 has a 6 speed why could you not put a manual box in the GT4RS. The GT3 box will take 500bhp which will be enough for the GT4RS ?
Accept the lap time argument and also the mid engine / rear engine situation but I would have thought it was not beyond the Porsche engineer to find a solution if they wanted too.

The problem is mid engine versus rear engine, swapping it between cars gives you 6 reverse gears and 1 forwards I believe.

So a new box would need fully testing and developing, and if that was the way they were heading I think we'd have seen it in the regular GT4 to share costs between models.

I've said it all along if I was a betting man, I'd bet on PDK only for the RS. I'd love it if it manual was an option, but I just can't see it happening.
