NAS Drives & Price/Capacity Sweet Spot?
Discussion
I need some drives for an 8 bay NAS that is storing (non-porn
) archive data.
There's usually a sweet spot between price and capacity and right now I think it's between 10TB drives and maybe 12TB or 14TB.
It's been so long since I've purchased hard drives for a NAS that I'm a bit out of touch.
It'll be Synology SHRII.
Any suggestions please?

Hitachi, of whatever size is most sensible financially.

Remember that SHRII takes forever to rebuild/expand, so leaving bays empty for future expansion means lots of anticipation of when you'll need the space.
