Does anyone on here actually pull all the fabric/foam out of their helmet and actually wash it?

I've never done it myself. I sort of use it as an excuse to buy new helmets when the current one gets too sweaty...

You can wash non removable ones as well, lay a towel down in the bath, wet it down,
lather some baby shampoo into the linings and rinse ...its amazing to see how filthy even a newish lid can be.

Yep, usually wash the interior in each helmet at least once a season, more if Ive been on long hot touring holidays with 8 hours a day in 35 deg heat.

Of course, much depends on wear. Some people may only ride at a weekend during summer, others are doing 10k miles a year all year round. You may wash/renew helmet more often. I have a few helmets I spread the wear around.

Easy to do in most modern helmets, my Shark just unclips and whole liner goes in the washer with some fabric conditioner, let it dry naturally then refit nice new smelling interior.

To be fair after a few years and a few washes its never the same as a new feeling liner. Ive been tempted a couple of times to buy a complete new liner, but the expense is like 25% of the cost of the helmet so if/when something else goes wrong (like need a new visor) then it gets cheaper to buy the whole thing new.

Yep, especially after a Euro tour when it's been warm/hot. Doubt I'll need to this year as Scottishland is as far as I'm likely to get.

My off road ones after every race or session! They’re filthy in the summer with the dust and all the vents!
Road ones once a year really.
