Nothing wrong with the car - just getting a bit depressed about the way I seem to be able to kill off threads.
Not sure if there are any records to be broken but I'm glad only the number of posts you start are on the profiles because if it was the number of threads you finish I'd be right up there.
I thought I would even it up a bit by starting one that I am determined not to finish.
In order to keep it wedge related -
I have been out in the rain recently (it does rain here occasionally) and noticed that the fabric on the centre section of the roof bubbles up in sections when wet. It dries flat again but has anyone else experienced / solved this ?
Roof seems to be waterproof and I recently gave it a coating of some special stuff from a camping supply shop meant for tents etc and water beads on the top ok.

Just to help your thread along abit. The water must be getting through or into the fabric to cause this gave mine about 4 good coats of Thompsons brush on water seal and the water now just sits on top of it. i think like alot of fabric if it gets wet it expands and then shrinks Get a Litre of Thompsons and give that a go.....or leave it in the boot/garage you wont get wet if your going fast enough

Yep mine does it a little when it rains heavy (it does a lot here in Scotland). I'm guessing the fabric is glued to the roof section and if it does get wet (i.e. the proofing breaking down a bit) it does expand and rise if the glue underneath has let go.

Some useless information. My top is perfect in the rain! The inside hangs down whe it gets hot, but goes back if you smooth it. I've been driving in and out to work this week, an 80 mile round trip, wiggly bits and motorway M42 & M5. What a good car the Wedge is.Rock steady,comfortable and cracks along (at legal speeds Officer)Pity the speedo cable's bust!!

I think the roof is mohair - if it has lifted in sections can you reglue it, maybe make a small pinhole and spread some around. If so what adhesive should you use ?
The hoods in pretty good condition otherwise so not worth replacing, I assume you could get them recovered anyway ?
MikeB - been nothing but rain here for the last 4 weeks, still, 48 wks sunshine out of 52 isn't too bad. At least you've won some cricket this time (although I still support England anyway).
