Yesterday late afternoon I found myself following a pick-up truck that was not being driven at all well. Once it mounted the pavement and twice it crossed a double white line into the path of oncoming traffic - causing several vehicles to swerve out of its way. Its speed was also erratic, varying between 25 and 35 mph (in a 30 limit).

The reason?

The driver was holding a cell-phone to his right ear whilst trying to read a street atlas gripped in his left hand that rested on the steering wheel.

After watching this for about 1/2 mile, we passed a safety camera.

And do you know what?

It didn't flash! :(

Write to the local partnership and ask them why their 'safety camera' didn't work

I did that once when i witnessed an old biddie doing 35 in a 70 NSL DC and wobbling all over the place eyes glud to window and intense look of concentration on her face

They replied with some "speed kills" stuff and tried to question what speed I was doing?!!?!
