Posted over night, my guess is that it would be a campaigning civil servant making trouble for the government.
Along the lines of this but with a bit more planning.
But with this mess of a government who knows.
Wishful thinking, but I doubt it. Your typical accidental/protest tweets get taken down quickly. This has been left up for 12+ hours and the Home Office account has been active since. Along the lines of this but with a bit more planning.

No that's Priti Patel for you.Along the lines of this but with a bit more planning.

This is what "taking back control" looks like.

It isn't the deporting of illegal immigrants I'm against. I wish they would do more of it rather than just tweeting about it. It just doesn't seem appropriate for an official communication from a government department IMO.
Remembering that the Home Office is arguably above all else responsible for upholding the rule of law:
I don't like the term 'activist lawyers' implying that lawyers shouldn't represent the best lawful interests of the people they represent.
I don't think they should be speculating about what might happen in future regarding no longer being bound by EU laws, negotiating our own return arrangements under 'less rigid' rules.
It is already illegal to enter the UK without a valid visa, it is dangerous to attempt to cross the channel in an unsuitable boat and it is within our powers to detain and deport illegal immigrants, but we're not doing it.
If it is genuine (and yeah it's been up too long to be a disgruntled employee now) then it seems like a muddled attempt to be seen to be doing something about a problem they have no intention of tackling.

As soon as people starting mud at the justice system I think it looks pretty bad. That enemy of the people stuff on the front of the Mail etc. Pretty bad that the organs of the state should be doing something similar. So?
Not sure why returning people that have not gone through the proper procedure to seek asylum here is wrong.
"Activist lawyers" actually seeking to uphold the law as written by the Home Office, while the Home Office slags them off for doing what they are supposed to do.Not sure why returning people that have not gone through the proper procedure to seek asylum here is wrong.
