Garmin Edge 820 Battery Replacement

The battery in my Garmin Edge 820 is now so and it barely manages 2 hours. If I use the maps it lasts about 1 hour. I have just purchased a replacement battery which apparently comes with all of the necessary tools for fitting it.

I am concerned about how to get the the case opened. This requires removal of the screen which I believe can be performed by heating with a hairdryer to loosen the glue and the prising the screen loose with the supplied plastic tool.

Has anyone on here replaced a Garmin battery? If so how did you open the device and how did you go about sealing again afterwards?

Did you purchase new glue or use tape? If so which one?

I am considering using this tape to re-seal the device.
