Parts from astonmartinbits.com
Discussion
Hi all,
I've used astonmartinbits.com in the past to purchase a few non-critical items for my 4.7 Vantage (e.g. door and boot gas struts and other cosmetic parts), and i'm very happy with the level of service and overall experience so far, but i always had the (admittedly very small) concern at the back of my head whether the items were genuine Aston Martin parts.
I'm now looking to purchase a service kit for my 4.7 V8, so would like to investigate a bit further, as this is obviously a more critical item.
Would really appreciate any feedback on this.
Many thanks,
Damien

Air filter should be stamped at the bottom with Aston Martin and oil filter will have the AM logo on it.
Any non AM product such as Blue-print (which most indies use) are not allowed to use AM logo or name.
I use Blue-print air filters which are identical to the genuine AM product but £24 for two, oil filter direct from AM dealer to be safe.

www.redpants.lol Richard supplies full kits. And his service is exceptional!
Recently bought a part from this company and it was faulty but certainly genuine AM.
They replaced it but it was frustrating as I had the part fitted and then removed again which cost £150 plus my time and miles in getting to the AM garage. Also - there were no apologies for supplying a faulty part.
They also don’t have a contact number which I find very frustrating - everything has to be done by emails.

Maybe worth calling Nicholas Mee, just ordered 4 throttle body gaskets and they were £12 with delivery wherby AM bits were £27 for the same items.
Gaskets were supplied by Nicholas Mee in genuine AM bags with part codes so cannot explain how AM bits are twice the price.
