I had the same problem. It's the bluetooth switcher if when the speakers cut out, you stamp on the kick plate in the footwell and the speakers work again.

This wasn't actually my problem though. I found that the coupling between a box behind the right hand side carpet in the trunk/boot had come undone. Pushed it back ion, and voila!... speakers working again.

Hi
I did the foot stamping stuff originally and nothing changed did a quick investigation to see where the said switch was located from other posts, i ordered up another switch , upgraded one , went to fit this morning and the original is defo not there so im still puzzled.
Ill take a look at your suggestion thought what carpet exactly ? There is the entry point on the side where fuse box is or is it nearer the rear bulkhead

Thanks

I had the problem with Bluetooth relay. It looks like you have removed the access panel from memory to access properly you are meant to remove the whole passenger foot panel. The relay should be about 100mm further down. I could not get mine out with out removing the additional panel but detached the cable and put the replacement on top of the original. Fixed the radio problem.

In your photo lift up the lose bit of sound proofing at the bottom of the hatch it will be hiding underneath.

Also see link below, I remember now this is why I left the old one in until I had more time.

Oh, mine was the same as redpants, I presume you have the original AM Bluetooth and not a retro fit? There should be a phone module in front of the gear stick.

Have you checked the fusebox in the boot?

It's in the side panel on the right hand side.

It should be in there somewhere. In ours it was a small green anodised can with a connector at one end.
See if you can grab a chat with James Hawkes Reed at Aston Installations (google it)
He helped diagnose this issue with our car when numerous official aston dealers failed to resolve it.
Not only will he guide you in on the part but probably offer an improved replacement

Good luck

100% in the footwell. I can't remember exactly (hence me suggesting ringing Aston Installations) but I think it was bolted down in the area below the fuse panel (not underneath it though so don't go unscrewing that!!)
