Best Software via Windows/USB/Bluetooth or Dedicated OBD2?
Discussion
Hi,
For modern 2020 cars like the Kia Sportage or Xceed which available for the public app or software is the best to program or re-program/re-write the Kia computer/instrument etc.?
Or am I looking at commercial only and its commercial high price?
What it is that my neighbour car battery was flat and he had jump leads so he asked for help and I agreed and he used my car to jump start ,and his car started however the strange thing is that my mileage is displaying 9999999 after the jump start. Everything seems fine with my car except the incorrect mileage displaying. I went to Kia and told them what happened and they said if jump cables are used incorrectly it can cause such a digital error and they wont fix it under warranty for free and are charging £89 for the diagnostic and the mileage correction repair is £179.
I have a laptop & smartphone at home and theres no way im paying 89+179 at the dealers just for mileage correction so I like to do it myself. Google keeps track of my driving history via my phone so I know how to calculate what the correct mileage should be for this repair that I like to attempt myself.

Are the above links actually work with mileage correction or a scam to sell their devices?
So its just that mileage can be corrected by programming and nothing physically needs undoing correct?
