Tax/national insurance

hello there...
Just wondering if anyone could help.
Started a new job on 3rd August, that week I paid no tax on my wage, the week after I did do, the week after that I paid "-£97" and then this week I've paid no tax again? Is there a reason for this? Or am I going to get a big deduction in the next few weeks?
Any help would be great

Has your tax code changed on your pay slips?

Has your previous earnings from your P45 been correctly recorded?

Rest assured, they will come after anything you owe... lol

Put some money away now so you can pay the demand when they make it. They will just change your tax code next year and take it monthly from your salary, but it could be easier/quicker to just pay it in one lump sum.
