Boxes for DIY removals?

Shouldn't be too expensive - we spent about thirty quid on a pack of boxes that did most of the job. Try here:

You can hire the strong 65 litre plastic boxes that Pickfords use from HSS. Looks like they are £1 per box per week.

You need sturdy boxes that won't split open if they get handled a bit, dropped or rained on while you pack or unpack the van.
DO NOT use rubbish boxes from the back of your local supermarket. These are often damaged, torn, damp etc and may be a false economy.
Get the right kit for the job. Try a local outlet of "big yellow shelf" or similar, they do removal packs which contain assorted boxes, marker pens, tape, tape dispensers, bubble wrap, etc. These boxes are not the cheapest option but they won't dump your stuff in the mud like a damp crisp box will.
Compared to the overall cost of moving and to the value of what you put in them the boxes are the cheep bit even if buy the best you can find.
