Our company letterhead has been designed using AI. However we can't get a reprint as the printer's we've approached haven't got AI.

They've asked for the image to be "reduced" to A4 EPS, which of course means absolutely rock all to me.

Are there any kind PHers out there that could do this for me, if I email the relevant file to you?

Regards

Steve

Ah, helpful printers!

I don't have Illustrator but PhotoShop can open .ai files. You will get a prompt to rasterise the image - choose 300+ dpi. Try it. Then you can do what you like. I expect your .ai file is way too big for e-mail though!

EPS is, AFAIK, an Enhanced Post Script file - which would kind of make sense why a printer would require it.

Anyway - I may be able to help you out, depending on how soon you want it done.

Mail me if you like and we'll see what can be done.

Cheers,
Phil.

In Illustrator. Just do file/document setup to resize to A4, then do save as or save a copy as type EPS.

It needs to be EPS as that (and TIFF) are the only file formats that do colour separation for a 4-colour press (CMYK)
