911 991 VIN/serial numbers and production run
Discussion
Hi Pistonheads. Porsche newbie here so if this is a daft question please be gentle!
I have a 2015 991.1 911 4S, first registered in UK in October 2015, I bought it in October 2019. It's my first "proper" car as I've driven bangers for the last 25 years while I saved up to buy my dream car.
I've been trying to find out where my car sits in the production run of 991.1 but can't find this information anywhere. I have managed to decode the VIN so I know the serial number of my car but can't find out how many of these cars/engines were produced and with what serial numbers were.
What I really want to know is if my car was in the last few hundred normal aspirated engines off the production line. Maybe it was the last NA engine out of the factory for this type of car? I can't tell.
Any advice on where to get this information from would be much appreciated!
Happy weekend to all and happy driving!
