Trickle charger/ conditioner for a Rapide
Discussion
Hi all,
I’m still waiting for my new car to arrive (it’s still being prepped) but in readiness I have had a thought about the need for a trickle charger/ conditioner. At the moment it will probably only be used once a week and maybe about 3-4 times a week once we start going out and about again.
Always had to have the Continental on charge - is the Rapide the same? I’m thinking a CTek with one of the magnetic connectors?

If you are using it once a week you wont need a trickle charger to be honest.I’m still waiting for my new car to arrive (it’s still being prepped) but in readiness I have had a thought about the need for a trickle charger/ conditioner. You bought it! Excellent. Welcome to the Rapide club.
FWIW I do keep mine on trickle charge if only to keep the battery in good shape even though I use it regularly.
Simplest solution: The cable peeks out from under the right rear seat base, which connects to an accumate. I then run the lead out of the bottom of the door and so far no damage to the cable as the seals seem very plush.

I did but AM found a few things they wanted to put right before delivery; SatNav screen was making a slight noise when opening and closing so replaced, wheel refurb, front bumper being repainted as stone chipped, leather man going over the interior too. It’s only done 23k miles so should be in pretty good condition.FWIW I do keep mine on trickle charge if only to keep the battery in good shape even though I use it regularly.

I haven’t even seen the car yet but I am really looking forward to delivery hopefully this week. My dad always wanted an Aston but he never managed to convince mum so I’ve done it in memory of him really:- he was always a real family man and I thought it’s the perfect Aston to enjoy with my wife and young kids - to involve them in one of my passions.
