Wifi router question
Discussion
Evening,
Novice question: I'm having an ethernet line installed into my garden office tomorrow. C. 45m from the house. We have a sky fibre box thing under the tv supplying wifi to the house. My plan was to stick one end of the ethernet into this and when stick the other end into a new wifi router in the garden office. Voila.
Is this all i need to do? If so, will any new wifi router do?
Told you i was a novice.

Just put the garden office router into modem mode, turning off dhcp so it doesn't issue ip addresses.
I had a BT HH5 lying around, it's only a switch now but I'm sure you could keep the wifi enabled.Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
