best hard house/hardcore clubbing in london?

can anyone point me in the right direction?
its literally been years since i last went clubbing and i really fancy going again for some reason, but alas, now im 'out of the loop' i dont know where the good places are. anyone got any good personal recommendations? im looking for hard house/ techno/ hardcore specifically - just something i can loose myself all night to! ideally the closer to charing X the better as thats where ill be getting to - but failing that im happy to travel to somewhere in the burbs if its a good night?

Turnmills in Farringdon is a good bet.

For Charing X, there's Heaven - it's a predominantly gay club, but gets some good DJs. Some pretty hard stuff too :tee-up:


Plotloss is a good man to ask, if he's around.

You've hit the 'decent hard house clubbing' nail on the head there. I spent four solid years doing the Heaven/Trade@Turnmills double, 14 hours of the best hard house and then off for a Sunday roast afterwards.

Heaven is terribly underrated - my only tip is when they ask you on the door if you're gay, you say YES!

Where is Plotloss when you need him? He can probably give you a rundown of DJ nights at Turnmills!

Never been and not particularly into hard house but it's on my list of things to do this year as I've heard so many good things.

I think Hybrid play there sometimes so I'll try and catch that

Go to some of the free parties. Best music and best vibe. Not the horrible squat parties, but the well run ones like OCB. That's One Cell Brain. Do a search as there'll be outside parties again this summer. Also if you're out of the loop, I'd recommend the music forum of Urban75.com

Free parties are great, I used to love the summer madness of driving round following dodgy instructions off some anonymous mobile phone. I'm certainly into my trance/hard house as well, so would be up for a PH clubbing trip.

An issue that Paolow and myself face re: free outdoor parties - they're illegal. Our future employer (Sussex Police) might take a dim view of us attending such events. End of an era for me

I believe there were/are some establishments around the Soho area that specialise in hardcore.
