Phones with camera sticking out

I noticed that as manufacturers think we all want mega cameras that these are increasing in size to the point that phone rest on their cameras. It's particularly prominent on the new Note20. However this is ont the first phone to have this issue.

For those of you with such phones does it wear that part of the phone more? is it just plain annoying?

My iPhone and iPad both have raised cameras. In their cases they are just shy of the edge so you don’t notice it and no extra wear.

This is not a new trend: been this way for quite a few years now (the iPhone 6 was the first iPhone with a bulge/bump for the camera). My phones pretty much aways live in a case. The case is the same (or slightly more) thickness as they bump. No wear, no issues at all
