Am I the only one who.... ?

Not long ago I discovered the ASMR thread and it was comforting to know that not only was I not alone in experiencing it but it was in fact a 'thing' and it had a name, and it wasn't just me being odd. That revelation inspired me to start this topic, in the hope people can use it to find out if they are alone in their unusual thought processes or behaviours - or indeed are unique and the raving schizo their parents warned them about.

It's only meant to be lighthearted and not a serious psychological investigation ... but if we can avoid it turning into an opinion-bashing political battleground that would be appreciated; "Am I the only one who thinks Boris is doing a good job / Coronavirus is not that bad / Ronnie Pickering is well-known" could be better posted in the Unpopular Opinions thread.

I'll start. Am I the only one who looks car number plates up on the Government MOT history website when they appear on old TV shows to see if the car is still on the road as a cherished posession or has simply been allowed to rust away?

I don't normally but did run a check on the registrations in the 1976 film Get Carter

IIRC the Cortina Michael Caine had is still on the go but none of the other cars although the registrations turned up on different vehicles.

Am I the only one who adds up the number of letters in sentences or phrases I hear through the course of daily life and is (very mildly) disappointed if that number isn’t even?

The other night I followed something that was badged as a Ferrari 355 Berlinetta. I don't even know if that's a real Ferrari model, it just looked...off. Like when you see Mickey Mouse painted on an ice cream van - you know it's meant to be Mickey Mouse, but it's just...off.

Made a mental note of the registration and looked it up to find it's a Toyota MR2 with a colourful MOT history. So no, you're not the only one.

Am I the only one that thinks a lot of Jock Sturges' work is basic child porn ?

If I got caught with similar photos that " celebrated the young female form " I'd be on the Sex Register pretty sharpish
and maybe accompanied by a small stay in the big hoose.

Never heard of him, no idea what his work is, and CERTAINLY not going to google him now!
