anyone else having this issue?

I installed the OUTLOOK APP and that is working fine - but the native mail/calender/notes/contacts are not working :-(

Any ideas please?

Might be that your 365 admins have banned native client usage. Is it your tenant?

Yeah this! As already alluded to it is likely "approved mail apps only " has been configured.

I'd migrate then tenant to yourself. There's really no need for a third party to look after just 1 account.

If they have it separate and manage it with a simple admin login, just ask for the admin login and set up your own billing and change the admin password.

If they won't allow you to have access or they can't, first take ownership of your domain, you can transfer this to any provider (I recommend Namecheap) choose the transfer option then ask your current provider to change the IPS tag to your new registrar (Namecheaps tag is NAMECHEAP-INC)

Once you have control on the domain, take a PST backup of all your emails from your mailbox and any OneDrive files if you use that. (I take it you don't use Sharepoint?)

Then sign up to MS365 from scratch here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/busi... If you only need Exchange, MS 365 Business Basic will be fine. If you need the Office suite too, choose the plan that includes this.

Once setup, setup your email client with the new empty Mailbox then import your PST file you took a backup of earlier.

If you're already paying close to £3.80 per month anyway, then it may not be worth the hassle.

It's to do with the fact that apple mail is part of the mac os (so it looks good, appears to 'just work' and isn't designed for business use.... you can make your own joke up at this point).

The MS outlook app is a proper business client app so is sandboxed and corporate IT can remove the 356 account remotely if required, without affecting the iphone.

What happens is you buy an iPhone and add an email account to apple mail. At this point it starts using and saving your contacts calendar etc to your icloud account. When you add outlook it cannot see any of this so user rings support saying all contacts are gone!!!
If the above sounds plausible there is a simple fix. I'll try and find it for you.
If it's not the issue then sorry its been a long day....

I know that, but the number of IT threads he runs and the amount of advice he has got from here. If it was the odd light home question I wouldn't say anything but some of this stuff ...

On this occasion, I have employed (paid) an IT company to do this for me via PH - and where better to get advice and recommendations for buying services/products than the PH massif?

On the back of "advice" via this forum, I have bought several solutions for our business via PH - a couple of nice people have also done a few things as a favour too - which I am more than willing to reciprocate.
