My car Lease on the Abarth 124 ran out at the beginning of May - obviously they couldn't come and collect it, they said they wouldn't charge me beyond my 24 month rent period.

They came to pick it up a couple of weeks, cheeky sods sent me an invoice for 4 months rent.

I and them and they said they couldn't do anything about it as thee were no 'notes' on the system - I questioned why notes on they system (whatever that meant) mattered as My team ad finished and it wasn't my fault they couldn't collect it, they said I would have to pay it then go through the complaints system.

Fortunately I'd kept an email from them saying they wouldn't be charging me which I found, they said in light of this they would 'waver' the invoice as a gesture of goodwill.

So just a word of warning if you were in a similar situation, check your emails and bank account as they may take the Direct Debit!

Was it your 124 that was damaged while parked on the street? Did they charge you for it?

I decided to get it sorted before they collected it

Lex auto lease tried a similar thing with me. I had a bit of a task trying to get them to cancel it but eventually they did.
