Purchased an 11” iPad Pro 2020 last week and finding it really good... so much so I might sell my MacBook and just use the iPad.

I have a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse already that works with iPadOS so the logical next step is a decent keyboard either with or without trackpad

I can’t justify spending £300 on the Apple Magic Keyboard so my options are either...

1) Separate Bluetooth keyboard and keep the existing mouse - would just use this setup when at a desk
2) Look for a combined keyboard/trackpad setup such as Logitech Folio Touch at circa £150

3) I’ve also heard of the Brydge Pro+ keyboard which is more akin to a traditional laptop keyboard - any experience of these? Circa £190

I have an older Brydge keyboard (no trackpad) on my older iPad Pro. I really like it: makes it seem like a laptop. However the trackpad is meant to be crap so I'd steer clear

3)Keep the laptop that already has the functionality you're looking for and return the new toy.

It's not the most fun answer but it is probably the right one, especially when the novelty wears off.

I’ve got a Windows laptop I use for work so it does anything serious I need to do as it’s not solely restricted to work activities.

My Macbook Pro is now just overkill for what I use it for - general browsing, light photo editing, etc.

It’s worth the expense getting the magic keyboard. I purchased it for my pro along with a normal case thinking I’d switch between the 2. I haven’t touched the standard case since I got it. The quality of the case is great, typing and using the trackpad is really nice and I often forget it’s a touchscreen device.
