Need help please guys?

Purchased a second hand X3 recently, 2008, 92k miles, previous owner replaced timing chain. I have since replaced starter motor.
It was running absolutely fine but the engine management light has since come on and it is failing to pull away at low speeds. Sounds like gearbox issue but I’m no expert. The diagnostic came up with no fault codes.

Any advice?

Hi, sorry I cant help with your problem, it sounds like a weird one where I'm sure you will get lots of varying opinions. I just find it strange that the engine management light is on, but no fault codes. What fault code reader was used? Maybe you could look for a cheap BM specialist with a more comprehensive code reader as I believe that can make all the difference. Is the car an auto box?

Could be an issue with the transfer box (google it). I had mine looked at, oil changed etc and it cured it. A good independent would know about it and be able to sort it.
Whereabouts in the UK are you?
