I was expecting a delivery today of 3 items and I got an email to say it was handed to the resident at lunch time whilst I was out. Just lately they have been leaving the parcel outside the front door and walking away if no answer, or they leave it with a neighbour. I have CCTV and this time he put it down at the front door, knocked on, got no answer and then picked up the parcel and put it back in the van, maybe because it was raining. Also sometimes they call back towards the end of their round and re-attempt delivery as well but not this time.

Clearly it wasn't handed to the resident but the tracking info says it was delivered. I've tried contacting amazon but it seems the only way is through the stupid on-line bot thing now which just gave a scripted reply to my problem obviously without doing anything about it and said it might turn up tomorrow.

Is there any other way to get hold of Amazon, I used to be able to send an email to the customer services where a human would read it when there was a problem of any kind, the usually bunged another month of prime on for free when it was their cock up.

Can usually request a call back or if talking to the bot just keep writing ‘advisor’ and a human will usually attend to you

I buy way too much from Amazon. Deliveries are almost daily. Got another 3 tomorrow.

On the rare occasions I encounter an issue, I use the chat via the app and go through the automated options until an advisor joins. And more often than not, they deal with the issue immediately. It also saves the chat history to refer back to so IME it works pretty well.

My overall experience with them is excellent, hence why I get so much through them.

I've not had trouble reaching a human, but they don't seem interested in free months prime or similar.

I pointed out that not only had none of my deliveries in August arrived promptly, I hadn't actually received any as they'd all been destroyed in transit, lost, or driver unable to reach front door or some other rubbish.

Sounds like the driver will either deliver it again tomorrow or he will be opening it tonight.

Report it back and give them the camera footage as now it was be treated as driver theft rather than a delivered not receiving and they will make sure the driver doesn’t work again on the contract

My almost daily Amazon deliveries have been spot on until recently. Perhaps they can't handle all the volume.

I've got through a human in chat but that he/she wasn't at all helpful. Just blurted generic message like a bot.
I asked to speak to a manager (yeah I know... Karen wannabe) and was surprised I was put through.
Manager was more helpful and got my stuff next day.

Amazon delivery drivers are far more reliable then any other courier in my experience.

It turned up late last night which is good, a different guy knocked on the door and just left it outside whilst he got back in his van which is what they normally do. So it seems the first guy must have put it back in his van because it was raining, fair play to them then.
