Will be buying a weekend car soon and I may have to travel to find what im looking for (MX5)
Once upon a time I was always happy to go and find the car, then go home arrange everything and travel by train to go go and collect
However, having moved to north Devon, the lack of any train stations and the covid crisis makes doing this all a bit of a pain. The price of a train ticket is a bit much, less services owing to covid seems to have pushed the price up.
How much do car delivery companies charge to collect and deliver a car?
Do they deal with private purchases?
Would I be better seeking a local firm to collect and return, or a company local to the seller?
Any experiences ?
Thanks

Shiply.com is all you need
You basically put up a request stating pick up and drop off point and type of car and independent car transport firms will "bid" for the work.
I've used them a few times without issue.
Dont be surprised when the first few quotes are expensive, takes a day or 2 before the common sense ones arrive
