Raby Castle, Staindrop near to Barnard Castle, rather than Darlo.
I'm coming down from Oban (5.5hrs) to have a look around and hopefully chat to a few owners. I'm considering a couple of Italian models and would like some guidance.

ps if you are going, watch out for government advisers checking their eyesight.....

Great, I’ll be there.

I’m driving the 131 down from central scotland, good to know there’ll be somebody farther travelled than me.

Fiat 131? Lovely, have you done a reader’s cars thread on it?

I'll look out for you.
I'm in a Volvo 940 Estate, about as far from Italian design flair as you can get.

Just looked back through past threads, I doubt I'll miss your 131.

Thanks for the tip, that is a fabulous looking car! My first car was a 131 (only a 1.3) but I did have a model of the Abarth in that livery. Awesome thing.

No worries, my pleasure, but thanks for the thanks if you know what I mean.
Shame my photography isn't up to the quality of the cars.

Was there to look at Alfa Spiders, Lancia Fulvias and Integrales. All three possible purchases. Decided the Spiders are too compromised in the (italian) driving position but the Lancias:mmmmmmm

A number of Maserati that were totally new to me, beautiful cars.

Really annoyed with myself and I Missed this for nongoodnreason, would have loved to bring my V6 GTV down. Also wanted to look at a 105 series alfa as tempted to add one in the coming year or so maybe replacing my v8 mgb.

Looked like a great day out for all concerned, roll on next year.

Great photos - a couple of really nice looking Alfasuds there.

Does anyone know when the next southern day is? - I really need to get along to one of these.

Not quite......

That's Alfa Day, not Italian Car day - still probably worth a trip though.
