Next car suggestions

Hi all,

I'm currently looking to buy a new car as my 116i is not the most suitable for my current situation (expensive to tax, not very efficient on fuel) and was looking for some suggestions. I'm 18 so low insurance group is fairly important, and i'm looking for something in a low tax bracket. Being a bit better on fuel (40mpg+) is useful too. I know I have quite a few requirements hence the ask for help! I do appreciate having something a bit fun to drive (nothing too special because of insurance) and had been looking at the C2 VTS 1.6 diesel as I had heard they are a bit of fun to drive, but had also heard some people say they are crap to drive. I haven't managed to find one suitable so far so wanted to branch out my search a bit. Needs to be under £1500 ideally, with a low tax group and fairly cheap to insure. Preferably reasonable MPG and the more fun to drive the better. Many thanks

For that price point, look at Fiesta's and Clio's that could be in your price range. Although when younger people have come on here before a lot of people recommend the Citreon's. Also consider Suzuki's, Toyota's etc.
