An elderly friend has had a couple of falls recently - no harm done, but she does have great trouble getting up due to arthritis and stuff.

I've suggested an emergency call pendant might be a good idea - something that links into landline as that's all she got.

Any recommendations from the PH collective?

Their local authority will provide a service, just use that.

We used Careline for my mum. It was a little faff to set up as (iirc) you needed 24 hrs from plugging it in before you could test it and we live 3 hrs away but it worked when she needed it.

ETA you also need a key box so people can get in.

So they do, I didn't know that - thanks!

Her council only operates one in limited areas but luckily, she lives within one of them and the price looks reasonable at about £20 a month.
