Need new tyres, and wheel refurb. Which first?

As the title says, I am in need of both a wheel refurb and new tyres all around.

I have a Mk7.5 Golf GTI and I'm looking at PS4Ss, unless anyone advises me differently. I currently have P Zeros, but they wheel hop like crazy and I'm hoping the PS4Ss have just that little bit more grip.

I have scratched the hell out of the diamond cut alloys, and they also have white worm (in the middle as well, not just where I've scraped them), so i'd like to probably move to powder-coated or similar.

If I get the wheel refurb done first, is it likely to get damaged when i have the tyres changed? Likewise, is it ok to put tyres on, take them off to refurb the alloys, put them back on etc?

I'm also looking at possibly getting the car lowered on some sports springs and putting some wheel spacers on. With factored in, whihc is the most sensible order to do these jobs in?

Buy the new tyres mail order and take them to the wheel refurbishers.
They can put them on after the refurb and you save the separate fitting cost.

Agreed. Wheel refurbishers will often suggest this. They warn against using certain tyre-fitters after a refurb. Wheel furnishers should also be able to remove tyres, refurbish wheels, and re-fit those same tyres without damaging the newly re-furnished wheels.

This. Saves quite a few quid in fitting to offset the refurb cost.
