Really looking forward to this one. DC, Jenson, Brundle etc on the telly and all the driver interviews suggesting they are really expecting it to be a challenge:

As we speak, Mugello circuit workers are concreting in place picnic tables in every marshalling post and taking the bulbs out of the pitlane closed warning lights.

What do we reckon for the pole time? 1:15 ish? According to Wikipedia Grosjean did a 1:21 in testing in 2012.

I'm feeling a bit pessimistic about this. Wondering if we'll see cars unable to stay close to each other through all the high speed turns?

I've deliberately not looked into this track for F1 to keep it a bit of a surprise-really looking forward to FP1 to see what they make of it

Great camera angle and looks like a good flowing circuit with a long straight - should be good.

Reminds me a bit of Interlagos - some big flowing corners that open out into long downhill sections.

Well, the main straight is long, pretty much as long as the back straight in Shanghai with a similar exit speed out of the last corner, although not as hard on the brakes as Shanghai at the end.

+ only medium & high speed corners means downforce levels will be high, which means effect of DRS is high. If I was to pick wing levels, I would say similar to Catalunya.

The W11 should be in its element. Not sure how the RB16 goes here, there are a hell of a lot of corners to lose time in, and if the car doesn't like it, it could be another crap race.

Could be a good race for a few teams in the midfield, given the lack of slow speed corners. I'm interested in seeing how McLaren go.

Could be processional race as well, though one can always rely on midfield for some action.

I think it will be mainly/only DRS overtakes down the main straight, if Button and De Resta's summary is correct.
