More out of idle nosiness really but anyone know much about the above Spitfire, twin seat from what I can see?
Flown over my house in St Neots pretty much every day recently - if anyone knows the pilot can they ask him/her to fly a little lower smile

I've seen it mostly fly out of Duxford, circling around Old Warden and up over Bedford like it did yesterday judging by the trace on ADSB exchange.

Cool - Thank you smile Will explain the common route then from Sywell.
They also have a P-51 which is another I often see go over my house - need to get saving...

Now just had their P-51D (G-TFSI)doing a couple of loops just South of me - hard to concentrate on my conference call when I keep looking out the window. Love the way on Flight Radar it shows it as a Saab Viggen or similar smile

It's absolutely brilliant, you'll not regret it :-) get saving! I'm fortunate enough to have flown/in Contrary Mary/ G-TFSI a couple of years ago. I'd "just" expected to fly the P-51D (TF-51) but in a completely unexpected twist I ended up in a close formation 3 ship with G-LFIX & a Hispano Buchon (I only found out when we were taxi-ing out!). Absolutley spectacular, still smiling now! They're a genuinely lovely group of People too, very warm, genuine & welcoming. The only problem is you never want to land & when you do, you want to go again! :-)

And then flew past mine about 5 mins (or less) later.... smile

If you look at its flight path trace when it flies past us, you see its clearly a White Cliffs 1hr duration flight, but because of the distance from Sywell, the punters only get a couple of quick circles of Beachy Head, before they have to head back, and they go inland from there, and then skirt south of Gatwick and then across between Guildford and Woking, and up through the GA corridor over Pirbright, Bagshot and between Bracknell and Wokingham and across the M4 and up past Twyford and then past Henley-on-Thames etc.

Each time ML407 has past my place this summer, its taken the same route from Sywell via Beachy Head and back each time.
